We are having a rally to change Ervay to Harvey Milk St. This is the street which runs past the infamous First Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas where W.A. Criswell was pastor.

Henry Ervay for whom the street was named was part of the invasion of Nicaragua to make it a slave state, was a Confederate officer, and later played a key role in re-establishing white supremacy in Dallas when he was part of the effort to end the multi-racial democracy of Reconstruction.

Landscape Reparations and Deracializing the landscape

The purpose of this blog is to discuss the changing of the names of streets, cities, schools, parks and everything else on the landscape to deracialize the landscape so it isn't a white supremacist text. 

There are other aspects of landscape reparations which are important also and should be pursued. This blog is going to concern itself with how the landscape is named and how that shapes people's thinking for to be racist or be against racism.
